We zoeken een jr. lab technician microbiology and molecular biology

• You perform of microbial, molecular and plant biology R&D experiments to execute our strategy timely.
• You ensure the correct functioning of the laboratory, including basic equipment maintenance, contact with service providers and suppliers, and managing the consumables and reagent inventories.
• You communicate candidly on progress and needs and take responsibility for your work towards our internal team and partners.
• You pro-actively collaborate with the R&D team to which you belong to ensure we align for success.

What experience are we seeking?
• A lab technician with versatile skills in microbiology and molecular biology
techniques in general.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in such fields.
• You are proficient in English and Dutch.
• You have a basic understanding of bacterial and plant biology.
• You always perform tasks with safety in mind.

At Protealis we maximally want to make best possible use of the synergy between legume species and their symbiont soil bacteria to maximize yield and quality. On the one hand, we aim to generate superior legume varieties, adapted to the Northwestern European weather, while we also discover, test, and optimize coating solutions for such bacterial symbionts. In this context we are looking for a lab technician to support research activities in both Plant Biology and Microbiology.
