As Group Automation Engineer you are responsible for the implementation of the SCADA/Data strategy in all sites of La Lorraine Bakery Group. You make sure the systems are implemented in each site and that the necessary information and visualization is available. Furthermore you will support the local automation specialists in the knowledge building and the maintenance of these systems.
You are able to gather and translate the needs for this system in close collaboration with the Group support functions, and make sure the specific site needs are included. In this you make sure the defined standards are applied.
Implementation of machine data logging, visualizations and other functionality for the defined projects (pilot and roll-outs). External specialists are used to make a good definition of the standard methods, so the solution can be transferred to other sites.
You make sure that the local automation specialists are included in this work and are trained to be able to maintain and diagnose the applied solutions.
The second line support for all implementations in (PLC) automation and Scada is provided. You are leading the standardization and supporting the maintenance of the automation / Scada layer.
You are or will become the technical expert in this matter for the current set up and the future technological challenges and evolutions.
You are strongly triggered to follow new tendencies in the market to make the best possible solutions for the La Lorraine Bakery Group.
As Group Automation Engineer you will report to the Group Automation Manager.
Skilled in PLC programming (Siemens S7, TIA portal, …) and Scada configuration (Win CC).
You have project management skills and experience.
You have leadership skills to set up a standard and you are able to train local automation specialists and enforce the usage of a system.
Strong listening skills to understand needs from business users and translate those to what has to be programmed and configurated.
Strong in troubleshooting and supporting of the system.
You have affinity with production operations: technical service, safety, quality, maintenance, reliability.
Next to your good knowledge of the technical elements, you have a pragmatic, no-nonsense and entrepreneurial personality.
You are fluent in English (both written and spoken); Additional knowledge of other languages is a plus.
You are prepared to spend 10% of your time travelling to the international manufacturing sites in the Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Turkey, etc. The rest of the time you will work from one of the La Lorraine production sites.
